GF Machining Solutions Relocates Parts Warehouse
The new facility near Indianapolis, Indiana, uses predictive intelligence to ensure availability as well as quick shipment of critical components.
GF Machining Solutions has moved its North American parts-warehouse operations to an airport-adjacent location in Indianapolis, Indiana. According to the company, this move will provide enhanced responsiveness to customers and quicker delivery of inventory parts orders. Customers will continue to place orders through established points of contact, but the same-day order cutoff will increase from 4:00 p.m. CST to 8:00 p.m. EST, adding nearly half a work day to order placement hours.
With dynamic inventory management and optimization and a direct connection to GF Machining Solutions’ global parts centers in Geneva and Shanghai, the new facility uses predictive intelligence to ensure availability as well as quick shipment of critical components. The facility also benefits from close proximity to major shipping operations at the Indianapolis International Airport.
GF Machining Solutions will first initiate a partial start of the new Indianapolis facility that will then shift into full capacity within the following weeks. The previous inventory parts warehouse in Woodridge, Illinois, will continue to fulfill orders for consumables and System 3R parts.
